Rob Sweeney: Originally
from the beautiful Berkshire mountains of western Massachusetts. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical
Engineering in 1998 from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. For the last 20
years, I’ve worked as a Principal Systems Engineer as well as a Software
Quality Engineer for a navy defense contractor/ government. In that time, I have
managed several fire control laboratories, been all over the country installing
and testing shore-based laboratories as well as overseeing and managing many defense
contracts. At one point I decided it was that time in my life for a change,
which I believe many people feel that need but never take the chance or make
that leap. While I was researching, I ended up talking with friends who are in
the business broking industry, became very interested, came across VR Business
Brokers, was introduced to some great people and decided to finally make that
leap. I believe working for a navy defense contractor for the last two decades
prepared me well, gave me the experience and building blocks necessary to
become successful in this next phase of my life. I’m very grateful and excited
