Dan Cheney
Dan Cheney is the owner of VR Business Brokers Mergers & Acquisitions in West Palm Beach. Mr. Cheney comes from generations of private business VR owners and entrepreneurs which have provided him with personal experience and expertise with family holdings in aviation and agriculture. He and a partner co-founded a full-service environmental testing and services firm specializing in cathodic protection solutions that has grown to encompass a four-state service area. Prior to VR, Dan reported directly to the Chairman/CEO of a private equity firm where he led the senior leadership team in strategic business planning and development including mergers and acquisition analysis and recommendations. Dan’s diverse experience also includes entertainment facility management and an active angel investor in company that develops and installs present and next generation digital security monitoring solutions. Dan has an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration, with concentrations in international business. He is an active scuba diver for the last 15 years and has had the privilege of diving most of the world’s seas and has acquired advance certifications. He also enjoys flying, and spending time at his ranch in Wyoming.
Alfred (Al) Baumeler
Prior to establishing VR Business Brokers in West Palm Beach, Florida, Al served as Vice President of Marketing for Rexall Sundown, the largest manufacturer of nutritional supplements in the US, where he restructured and repositioned many of the company's brands and products for the eventual sale of the company. Al has held several positions in Marketing and General Management with Fortune 1000 companies such as Wyeth (previously, American Home Products), Novartis, Reckitt & Colman and Xerox. His responsibilities included business planning, advertising, promotions, pricing, new product launches, market research, licensing and acquisition/divestitures of company businesses.
Al has an MBA from Columbia University and a BS in Engineering from Rutgers University. Al is member of the International Business Brokers Associations (IBBA), Business Brokers of Florida (BBF), Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Lilia Berezkina
Lilia brings to the VR West Palm Beach team relevant experience in financial services and foreign exchange, international business development, and commercial real estate. After earning her MBA, she launched a career that led to senior management positions and consulting engagements in the real estate and financial markets. In 2003 Lilia became the owner-broker of a full service real estate company, successfully brokering transactions involving hotels, high-rises, land acquisition and land development throughout South Florida. From 2004 to 2008, Lilia served as a founding partner of Globfex, a Boca Raton-based holding company that created a network of Financial Exchanges in foreign countries. Her responsibilities included connecting with foreign Financial Market Supervisory Authorities (FMSA), acquiring the appropriate licenses, developing corporate and management structure within the Exchanges, and finding investors and members. She has expertise in allocating private and institutional capital in preparation for Private Placement; preparing business plans, financial projections; customer service; and coordinating legal and financial issues. Lilia is also an accomplished fine-arts painter, holds a practitioner’s degree in holistic health, and in her spare time enjoys traveling, boating, and fine dining.
