The Buying Process

Buying a business can be a confusing and lengthy experience for the unprepared. Understanding the VR process willl assist you in working with our firm. Here is a basic explanation for our buying process

Getting Started

When you call our office looking for a business we will try to match you with the best business that will match you in order to do this you must provide us with a little bit of information on yourself. Some prospective Buyers have a definite idea of the type of business they want. But, often the Buyer is a first time Buyer and is still looking for what type of business would be right for them.

Defining the search

After getting to know you we can start to narrow your business search to a few compatible businesses. We will show you business profiles that we think you might be interested in and think about which business you would enjoy owning.

Focusing on a few

When you have selected your business of interest before we show you the business profile that is more in depth information we will require you to fill and sign the buyer profile and confidentiality agreement to protect the sellers information.

The Business: Face to Face

After reading the VR Business Profile and reviewing financial data on the business you're interested in, you should be prepared to make an offer for the business. Or if indicated your representative will set up a meeting with you and the owner. This will enable you to learn more about the business tell the business owner as much about you as possible since you may be seeking installment terms from the business owner.

Making An Offer

After meeting the business owner and viewing the business, the next step is making an offer for the business. Making an offer is not a final step. In fact, it should be viewed as the first of several steps, each of which bring the Buyer and Seller closer to completing the transaction.

Escrow & Closing
