Jeff Swiggett owned, ran and sold two different businesses over the last twenty-two years prior to founding the VR Business Brokers office in New Haven. He brings a wealth of experience in operating businesses from an owner's perspective and keenly understands the issues they face.  Jeff intends to bring all the professionalism that VR offers to the sales transaction process such that the office will be recognized as the premier business intermediary firm in CT.  Jeff is one of the few Connecticut business brokers that has received the prestigious Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA).  This is awarded to individuals who undergo the IBBA's rigourous training and certification program to ensure brokers conduct their business with the highest levels of professionalism and ethics and is the only certification universally recognized among all business brokers.  A resident of Madison for twenty years, Jeff enjoys the shoreline and is a big believer in the Connecticut experience.

 

 

David joins the VR Business Brokers office in New Haven, CT having owned and operated his own retail and commercial wholesale businesses for ten years which he sold successfully and continues to operate today.  As such, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team and will prove to be a valuable asset to owners seeking counsel when selling their businesses.  A long time resident of Fairfield county, David has a good understanding of the Connecticut market.

 

     Al Guthrie

Al Guthrie comes to VR Business Brokers in New Haven after having spent his career in financial management as a CFO and controller of numerous organizations where he was active in M&A work and projects.  Al is also a former business owner of a capital equipment manufacturing firm that he sold almost ten years ago.  Al has been a consistent Top 10 Producer among all business brokers in the VR network. He is native of Connecticut and has worked and lived in the Southern CT area for most of his life.  Al enjoys everything about the coastal CT.
