Requirements:
To qualify:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of business-to-business and/or consultative selling experience
- At least 5 years total work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated sound business acumen
- Motivated self-starter
- Disciplined work habits
- Impeccable reputation for honesty and integrity
- Real Estate License or the willingness to undertake your certification
Pluses:
- Experience running your own business
- 4-year degree and/or MBA
- 10+ years business-to-business sales experience
- Contacts in the small business community
- Mergers and acquisitions experience
- Marketing, management consulting or accounting experience
Your major responsibilities will include:
- Developing and securing new "business for sale" listings through networking, direct marketing and calling on business owners using a consultative selling approach
- Preparing business evaluations, financial recasting and marketing packages for your listings
- Qualifying, developing and coaching new business buyers
- Handling transaction management: working with sellers, buyers, accountants, lawyers, landlords and all related parties for a smooth and successful completion of the transaction
- Utilizing networking, marketing and sales to obtain new "business for sale" listings
- Developing printed and web-based marketing materials
- Managing buyer recruitment and evaluation

Training:
We provide a multi-staged training program, including:
Stage 1: You’ll attend a basic training program to learn the ABCs of being a Business Intermediary at the VR Business Sales corporate training center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Stage 2: You’ll work with an experienced intermediary to get a “quick start” in the business.
Stage 3: You will be mentored through your first 3-5 transactions. This provides you with individualized on-the-job training.
Stage 4: As part of your continuing education, we provide training on diverse issues that affect the business brokerage industry. We also invite business owners from our community to speak at our office.
