Business Planning: ALWAYS have a business plan, as either an owner or a buyer

99% of the business owners I work with DO NOT have a current business plan when we first meet.

How can you know where you are going if you don’t have a map? Or perhaps the better analogy is that business owners who have a map get to their destination much more quickly!

Grif Frost has taught Business Planning at the University of Hawaii Hilo College of Business and Economics and is a HUGE believer in the power of business plans for every business.

We require business buyers to create a business plan which they develop with the business sellers so that they can have a much higher probability of success when they take over the business.

A business plan should be a “living” document which is referred to and updated frequently when you are a business owner.
