What is an LQ Business?

LQ = Life Quality.  An LQ business is a business which enhances your LQ, not detract from it.  As someone who has started, built and sold 40+ businesses I know that some businesses can enhance your LQ and some businesses definitely detract from your LQ. 

I believe the secret to creating an LQ business is “Business Planning”. 

As business owners, we often can’t see the forest for the trees…so it is important to step back on a regular basis and review our business plan, making sure we are focused on the 20% of the activities which generate 80% of the profits.

An LQ business has the following characteristics:

1)       The business owner works when they want to work.  Usually the business owner chooses to work a maximum of 20 hours per week.

2)       The business owner knows their strengths and more importantly their weaknesses.

3)       The business owner delegates tasks to associates who enjoy accomplishing these tasks.

4)       The business owner and the associates know the “game plan” and are focused on accomplishing the 20% of the tasks which generate 80% of the results.

5)       The business owner and associates LOVE what they do and you can feel it in every aspect of their businesses
