Bill Sturm
The VR Business Sales, Mergers, & Acquisitions Office in South Carolina is owned by the Phoenix Group Inc. The principal and founder of the company William G. Sturm has over 25 years of business sales, marketing, finance, management and operations experience. A graduate of the University of Delaware, Bill’s extensive sales career has provided him with the skills necessary to develop results oriented relationships with business owners and entrepreneurs. Having owned several businesses and worked in management for several companies including Johnson and Johnson (Depuy Medical, a subsidiary) and Marriott, has provided an organizational expertise to create win-win results for the clients of VR Business Sales, Mergers, & Acquisitions.
Kelly West
Kelly is a graduate of the University of Virginia and George Mason University School of Law. Prior to law school, Kelly worked as a Strategic Marketing Specialist for the Health Care Advisory Board, a think tank in Washington, DC. After law school, Kelly practiced regulatory law and litigation in Washington, DC and Charleston, SC. From 2004 to 2007, Kelly assisted her husband in the successful operation of a waste disposal company, which they sold in 2007. Kelly has also owned and operated a business providing legal services to law firms throughout South Carolina. Kelly’s background brings a wealth of business knowledge and experience to VR of Charleston. Her solid work ethic, organizational skills and dedication to those around her enable Kelly to provide superior service to her clients. Kelly is happy to provide her services to businesses of all types throughout South Carolina.
Chad Vail
Chad Vail was invited to join the Charleston, SC office of VR Business Sales, Mergers & Acquisitions in October 2008. Prior to joining VR, Vail owned, operated, and successfully liquidated several businesses in the Charleston region, including multiple locations of a snack food retail franchise, a neighborhood deli, a coffee and ice cream store, and an early childhood development center. Chad also served as Director of Franchise Sales for Pretzel Twister USA assisting in the development of multiple locations in the Southeast Chad obtained his SC Real Estate License in 2005 and has helped facilitate many transactions, including some requiring rezoning and 1031 exchange. After being raised in the Summerville, SC, Chad graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Corporate Communication with a minor in International Business and the German language. While at the College of Charleston, Chad played varsity soccer. Chad was a member of the Charleston Metro Chamber Leadership Class of 2003 and the Berkeley County Chamber Leadership Class of 2005. Chad was recognized by the Charleston Regional Business Journal as a member of their “40 Under 40” class of 2003. Chad married April Pace Vail in 1999, and they reside on Daniel Island with their three children.
