Operations

 

I.            Production: 

        A.           The metal recycling business has state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies for efficient processes in the recycling of scrap metal. 

                  1.            Efficiency standards for recycling allows the business to maintain low overhead costs which in turn translates to being able to offer competitive pricing for all grades of scrap metal which increases both revenues and profits for the business.

        B.           Customers are able to drop off all ferrous and non-ferrous metals and are paid cash immediately for their metal.

II.          Inventory:  Inventory varies from month to month due to the volatility of fluctuating steel, copper and aluminum prices.

III.        Hours:  The business has multiple locations to service a broader area in the Southeastern region of the US.

          A.           Location One:  Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am – 4:00pm, closed for lunch: 12 – 12:30

          B.           Location Two:  Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Saturdays 8:00am – 1:00pm, closed for lunch: 12 – 12:30

IV.         Staffing:  The Company operates with 8 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees.  Staffing turnover is minimal, better than the industry average.

         A.           The owner works full time and oversees all operations of the business.

         B.           Full-time Chief Operating Officer is a family member.  If a buyer is experienced in the scrap metal business there is not a need for the COO to remain.

         C.            Full-time General Manager manages the day-to-day operations

         D.      Full-time office manager oversees all office functions and office personnel.
