Business provides a mobile storage service to customers at $150 per month. Metal storage containers built to owner specifications are stored at the owner's premises and delivered/retrieved by the Company via a flat-bed truck. Established by the owner in 2007, sales for the year 2008 were roughly $50,000 without much personal attention by the owner. Expenses incurred are for truck expense (fuel and repairs), rental of a yard if required, property taxes on equipment, insurance, telephone and office expenses, etc. This is a part-time business, no added payroll required. The current set up is that the business is a satellite of a larger business of the owner run on his existing premises.Total price of the business is $175,000 cash and includes a flat-bed truck with about 15,000 miles on it plus 25 metal storage containers. Another 25 storage containers will be retained by the owner and sold to the purchaser at $4,000 each on an as-needed basis as the business grows. It would obviously be an advantage if the purchaser has a large personal or business facility where the equipment can be stored without renting additional space.
