History
 
Links Golf Café was originally part of the Parmasters Indoor Golf Training Center concept. When Parmasters members and guests came to the center to work on their game, they naturally would build up and appetite so the Links Golf Café was the food service part of Parmasters.
 
Then, the idea of taking the Links Golf Café out of the center was born. Parmasters CEO, Tom Matzen has an extensive background in the coffee bar industry, having worked directly to start some 87 coffee, bars, consulted on several hundred and captured his wisdom with the book “Start and Run a Coffee Bar.” The team saw how they could marry the Parmasters indoor golf training center concept with Tom's coffee bar expertise to create a separate brand that would be the first franchise of it's kind in the world. 
 
The idea grew into the concept of a coffee bar with game improvement training aids and tools, custom-fit, custom designed clothing, corporate & community meeting rooms and the hottest PGA Tour Golf simulators on the planet.

Memberships
We have eight memberships in the Links Golf Café: three corporate, one for causes & organizations, and four for parts of the general public. 
 
Each has a monthly dues and benefits depending on the membership.
 
In addition, our Cause Membership also accumulates ten percent rebates for the organization, based on total dollar purchases.
 
Memberships vary from $29 – $389 a month. 

Food and Beverage
Our customers enjoy our fresh fast and healthy items in the Café. In many Links Golf Café locations, we are able to provide catering to surrounding businesses.
 
Meetings
Links Golf Cafés have a high end, high tech board room equipped with a Cisco Telepresence web conferencing system. The web conferencing is a great revenue generator and corporate member perk. 
 
In addition, the meeting space will be very attractive to roaming sales people, entrepreneurs and other SOHO (small office, home office) individuals already using coffee bars as meeting places all the time.

Links Golf Cafes has the option of adding Sports Body Science and Executive Body Science treatment rooms where space allows. 
 
These programs will be offered through certified practioners using the extensive materials amassed by IQUEST. 
 
Also, other practioners such as chiropractors, massage therapists etc. who cater to golfers will have the opportunity to rent the rooms to provide a convenient location for their clients to receive treatment.
 
 
Marketing
 
We use six methods to generate franchise inquiries:

  • Referrals.  
 
Franchise Requirements
 
The Links Golf Cafe land and building will ordinarily be leased rather than owned, although you are permitted to buy them if you so desire. Some or all of the building leasehold improvements may also be leased from a landlord if a suitable landlord and site is found. 
 
Links estimates that the average Cafe will have approximately 3,000 to 6,000 square feet. Your initial investment for leasehold improvements, will vary depending upon local labor and materials costs. These variables affect how different obligations will be distributed between landlords and tenants under different lease agreements and the costs of acquisition and construction. 
 
Although the cost of leasehold improvements will vary depending upon the above-described factors, we estimate that the average cost of leasehold improvements will range between $20 and $60 per square foot. Note, you may want to pay for some or all of these leasehold improvements in order to lower your monthly lease costs.
